I haven't seen a light duty truck with super singles but one thought comes to mind.
After the initial expense, buying 4 replacement tires as opposed to 6 may be a positive advantage.

 

Not common from what I see but they do have kits out there. I'm just wondering if it would be better for towing.

 

finding a tire and rim with the capacity of duals is going to put you into $$$ and you typically have to go with a larger tire and you loose the blowout stability of a dual

that being said Earthroamer's do a super single conversion ,, they are much better offroad

 

They do look killer though. Brings me back down memory lane. Drag racing days.
I agree with @ZMANN 's post. Loosing a tire in the rear doesn't leave one stranded with duals.
It's happened to me in a 1Ton dump I had. I was able to crawl home with a load, saving me an expensive tow bill.

 

They look awesome. Really sets the truck apart!
