Been looking at getting some seat covers. Thinking I may go with the carhartt ones. Opinions on these and on other types. Thanks

I bought exact fit simulated leather (vinyl) about 5 years ago, waterproof, wipe off with damp cloth if needed, so far have held up perfectly. I didn't want anything porous that would soak up spilled stuff or hold dirt, and I couldn't afford the Wet Okole seat covers or genuine leather. I think these are even better. No special care. Big pocket on back like original and little pockets on front edge of seat bottom for little stuff.

Expecting mine to show up from Ruff Tuff before Thanksgiving.

I went with Dura EZ-care fabric because of my big dog who'll ride in the backseat. Lots of other choices. I did get swatches of the material before ordering. Lots of color choices as well and these are custom made to fit (3-4 weeks). I'll report on mine when they're installed but I'm certain my dogs claws will not affect this material. Pretty close in look and feel to the OEM cloth.

Just an update. Got my Ruff Tuff seat covers today in DuraEZ Care material

These are exceptional! Install took about an hour (no turning inside out, etc) with the exception of the rear passenger seat back that must be removed from the truck. I'll get to that tomorrow. Color on mine is reverse of what is in the picture on the link and matches very nicely with my interior. I think they look like factory seats, only nicer. Great construction, fit like a glove, good attachment with velcro and straps, with everything hidden. I'm not announcing them to passengers just to see if they even notice they're covers. I got the Special Ops Package seat backs that are sewn into the covers, they also are well built (they put a tag on "please obey all local, state, and federal firearms laws". It's removable).
Yeah, they were expensive ($700+) but I'm sure they'll last at least as long as the truck.
They have a lot of materials and color combinations to choose from. Glad I got what I did. Considered their 'salsa' red inserts to go with my Ruby Red truck but the free red swatch wasn't quite right, more like red lipstick.
Just passing along a quality option.
Made in Utah, BTW.

Oh, they're made to accommodate the front seat side airbags as well. They use velcro at that point so I'm assuming the pressure from the airbag will separate the velcro to allow deployment.

I'll try to post some pictures tomorrow.

Interesting. I really want leather seats, but the price of the Katskinz are crazy. Could probably find pull out leather seats for the price of those.

That's why I got the high grade vinyl "simulated" leather. If it ever splits or cracks, I can go buy more for much less and don't even have to take my seats out. I can even change color pattern if I wanted. My original seats are like brand new underneath. Be sure you get something that is airbag friendly if you have bags in the seats.

I’ve had the Cover Craft Carhartt seat covers in three Superduties now. Absolutely love them. They hold up extremely well after years and years and repeal water easily.

I have cloth seats in my 17 and the Carhartt covers over them, no complaints after almost two years. Seats look new under them.

Have clothe seats...

I had the wet okole in my old truck. I loved them. I would get them for this truck if I was in the market for seat covers.

I have had these for over a year now and have been happy with them. No issues so far and they fit really well.

Sorry, not enough posts to have links......

I have had Katzkins on 2 vehicles, a fox mustang and a 2003 F150. First set was tough to get one, second set was easier, but both were great. Although they are not cheap, they are less than custom covers from an upholstery shop.

I will buy them again when the need arises.

Derald.

Yeah, I know I have a very low post count, but we all have to start somewhere.
