Assuming you got the plug and play kit, its easy.

Got any links. Was looking at doing the ford one but I don't want to get new keys

 

Why do aftermarket? I bought the key, antenna, and wire for around 150$ if I remember right. Fairway ford parts was selling them online. Then go into forscan and enable it in the bcm.

I had the key cut at autozone and programmed in forscan even though you can program it easily at the column.

Took me a couple minutes to pull the headliner down a bit over the driver seat and plug in the antenna.

 

I haven't found anything under 3 for the OEM kit as of late.

Didn't realize these keys could get cut the old fashioned way still

 

Here is the install document. Ignore the glovebox part. The antenna is above drivers seat in 15-16, glovebox for 11-14. Almost all trucks already have hood switch, except XL models. You can easily check yours.

Which type, aftermarket or factory?

 

Just ordered the ford one. Sorry to jump on your thread OP

 

Don't forget to check/set remote start duration. I set mine to 10min, just preference.

 

It might need those other wires hooked up

 

Wat he’d the instructional videos on their site and he says only the one isn’t you don’t have automatic lights which I have and the other is for the long range remotes which I didn’t get so I put a call in to support. I’ll see Monday. I’ll update here.

 

The support is terrible, try sending a facebook message to them.

What are we programming the factory remote?

 

Yes bought the simplest kit they had. When I go to program the keys I can’t get the module to rapid flash blue after doing the last key confirming the programming super frustrated.

 

Keep us posted, I know there are times you have to rest the whole module and start over.

 

So I was on a call with support it’s my module we did about everything you could to get it to work they’re sending me a new one
