RDP / Sinister Charge Pipes??

So my POS plastic pipe went right after my BPD oil kit install. I'm assuming from taking the air box and hoses and whatnot out and "caressing" them back on.

So now I need a charge pipe but I definitely ain't going black with that plastic crap. I've been searching and I've been told time and time again from a couple different dealers that the metal pipe is no longer an option and that it was replaced by the plastic one. I call bs but whatever. I really like the bends and looks of the sinister kit but damn.. 350 - 400 for a set of pipes and boots!.. Really?!?!

Then I stumbled across these Rudys Performance Pipes. They look like basically the same exact deal just without the name, which I can be content with considering these are only 175.00
But I know that looks can be deceiving and wonder about actually quality of them.

So!... Is anybody running these and if so, Whatya think about them.

That's great to know. I preciate that. But I would love to Know something about those RDP pipes too. For the price it really makes more sense to buy those instead. Unless their just junk but I can't find any reviews on them anywhere.

Like you said, Rudy's looks like a better deal and they look a lot nicer in the picture. I haven't heard anything either good or bad about them. Probably worth a phone call to Rudy's. See what they say. Either way, you've got a good price comparison. If one Ford pipe kit from a large retailer like XDP is only 40 bucks cheaper than a whole kit from Rudy's, it's worth asking the questions to see what's up. You may have stumbled onto something good. That does look a lot cheaper than all of the other well known, commonly used kits out there. Is that a one-off scratch and dent set on eBay or do they advertise it at that price on their website too?

I just put the rudys pipes on mine, everything was very nice except the clamps. Reuse your stock clamps and keep the new ones as a one time use spare.

I bought the kit really just for the elbow, I already had the metal cold side pipe.
Y'all are depressing me with these prices though, I paid $209 shipped for mine.

I also am running the RDP pipes. Got the same kit as pictured above with the intake elbow. No complaints here. The clamps do seem kinda flimsy, but I'm running them no problem. Got mine for $175. Perks of being buddies with a Rudys independent seller.

Kept blowing my hot side pipe off the turbo. Make sure everything is clean of oil.

On mine the clamps seem plenty strong, but the stainless threads gauld up while tightening, so they'll be a one time use.

rudys unlike sinister is a stand up company
go with them higher quality at a lower price and if for some weird reason you should need to waranty them they will honor it :thumb:

Thanks a lot guys. Y'all have definitely made me feel better about going with that setup. So, I pulled the trigger on the blue set to match my coolant filter, hot/cold side with clamps and boots. But I did go with the "alpha dog" brand that is distributed by Rudys. Couldn't beat the price. Once they are installed for a bit I'll let y'all know how they hold up.
