Possible Stiction, Additive options?

Hey guys have a question. I am starting to get some excess smoking when starting my '06 6.0L. It does it no matter which tune I am on (SCT) and it also does it on stock tune. Only does it in the morning first start of the day and clears up rather quickly (5-10sec) but it does run rough like an injector is not operating correctly, no codes. I suspect I am developing a stiction issue on one or more of my injectors. I am less than 2000mi since my last oil change and I added no additives in that change (used T4). Can I still add 8oz of RevX or another additive this far into the oil change and still have it give me results? What is the best additive for 6.0s? I have heard good things about RevX. Also would a little Seafoam in the fuel help me out here?

Fuel additives will not help stiction, but it's something I would recommend using. I've never been a huge fan of Rev-X but have had some success with Archoil and Stiction Rx from Opti-Lube.

I also want to add that sometimes injectors are too far gone to save with additives. You may need to physically clean the spool valves or replace the injectors.

As far as fuel additives go what would you reccomend? Seafoam? and how much? Im pretty new to diesel stuff, this is the first one I've owned. Ive gotten a ton of help on here and any advice helps!

Is the oil additives i can get at like autozone or napa any good? They have the lucasoil stuff there

Another thing worth noting, I know that I get a decent amount of oil in my intake from my ccv as I have not rerouted it. Could this possibly be the cause of my smoking too? Or does the rough running indicate injector?

Unless there's a ton of blow by the CCV wont cause smoke out of the exhaust. You're most likely seeing unburnt diesel fuel due to the stiction issue.

I will always recommend Opti-Lube products. XPD increases fuel lubricity by 45.5%...

I used to have stiction issues BAD. My truck would fall all over itself until everything was good and hot.

I changed from Rotella T4 to Rotella T6 5w-30 and added a bottle of the Archoil AR9100. You could have convinced me that someone replaced my injectors without me being aware of it...it made that huge of an improvement.

Now I can get in my truck, fire it up, and go down the road with zero complaints from the truck. I'm blown away every time I drive it. I can't get over the change that made.

I may switch to T6 next oil change. The guy I bought the truck from always put T4 in it, said it was what the 6.0 was designed for so it made sense to him. I figured if thats what was always ran in it why change it. But it does seem that T6 may be better for it. I hadnt put a ton of thought into it honestly until now since im having this smoking issue. once it goes away the truck is perfectly fine no matter which tune im on other than stock. For some reason I get a pulsing around 75% throttle in my stock tune. When im on either of the towing ones its completely fine so I just run those all the time.

Hot shots secret stiction eliminator works pretty good too.
