I've seen those on 150s and they look terrible to me but then again I've owned 3 Raptors. I'd imaging it doesn't say FORD due to copy right complications that's probably why they haven't answered about it.

 

Yeah, I've found plenty of pics with them on 150's as well, but not 250's except for websites that sell them. TBH I'm not dead set on it, I the way it looks on the web, but like I said earlier I also like the stock grille too. I do like the way it says Ford vice the circles in it. I hear ya on the copyright complications, didn't even think of that.

Thanks Strokin! For some reason it looks different on that truck than the "advertisement" pictures I've seen on the internet.

Trying to mentally picture what it would look like on my truck, from that picture, I'm not a fan of it going on my truck. Looks good on that truck, but again, that truck has a more aggressive "race stance" to it. Which makes sense, since the Raptor was essentially designed to be an offroad race truck.

I just ordered one today, yes the 1st and 3rd letters come off, and if you are resourceful you can mod them in to an F & R. If you are not so handy, there are sources out there that sell the F & R already made and you just have to swap them out with the "D's" on the grille.

IMO the letters don't look proportional and why would they make a grille that you had to buy replacement letters for anyway? What is "DODD" supposed to stand for?

Grille and replacement letters came from ebay, just search for 2011 F250 Raptor grille and then search for Raptor grille letters and find the ones that fit the part # of the grille.

 

Just looked on ebay and it looks like there currently are no letters available, but I did find a note saying that some should be available in approximately 2 weeks.

I was actually looking at this grill the other night. Change bulbs to other than orange, smoke film/tint over lens...hrmmm....might have to order one this weekend and then, yes, would print all the letters.

Been looking online the last few days and i haven't been able to find the letters anywhere. one link o followed in ebay said they items had sold

 

FWIW I asked the manufacturer if they could send me a pic of the back of the grille a long time ago and they acted real dumb about it, like they didn't know what I meant by the back... Right before I asked though the pic they used for ebay included a backside but I just couldn't remember what it looked like, hence why I asked. Pretty sure they are just trying to cover up the fact that its possible

 

Well in the same line as deletes and tuning... you have to appreciate a company that works with in the rules to bring us new product in such a locked down market.

Shell included. Looks to be more grey vs flat black. So either a paintjob or plastidip may be required.

 

How much did you end up paying if I could ask? I see tham on Amazon and eBay with eBay being quite a bit cheaper.

Better stick with OEM. > In other news:

 

I would color match the outer shell. Could also maybe do black since it looks like you have black wheels? I think color matched shell would look best though. Really wild would be color matched shell, black mesh, and color matched FORD letters. Not sure how painting would work on the non removable letters though.
Just got mine last week. Truck is magnetic. The grille color is close enough that it would look like someone tried to match but didn't get it right. My plan is to color match the outer area and the mesh part black. Might be doing it in Linex along with my new bumpers.
Its a nice grille.

 

Just noted a GREAT feature with this grill....screw in/out complete inner section...MORE flexibility for future changes vs cuttin out OEM inners.
