I got an engine light for too much air flow. Pulled over when I was able and looked and I had holes in my cold side intercooler pipe. Bought a replacement from Ford, installed and cleared code. The light hasn’t shown back up but I did notice that it doesn’t blow black smoke at all anymore. Don’t know if this is just coincidence or something wrong. There is no loss of power or anything. Any help would be appreciated. Truck is fully deleted and tuned btw

It was probably compensating before which caused over fueling. Any loss of power/performance? If not I wouldn't worry about it.

This is a known issue on the 17+ trucks. Don’t think it’s that common but the aftermarket has already cranked out solutions for hot and cold side intercooler piping.

I switched my entire system (intake, hot/ cold charge) pipes out with the Pusher kit.

Ryan, thanks for the post.

Same thing happened to me this week - I wonder how long that tube had been leaking. I had smelled more exhaust recently, exhaust felt hotter, I heard more metal ticking after I shut it down, and loss of power when the check-engine light came on.

Thanks to your post, I bought the part and installed it myself. Now I'm thinking about getting a scanner/OBD with the money I saved. I appreciate the help.
