Maybe I've never noticed it, but went to change oil in 2020 F250 6.7 and the oil cap rec is 10w-30 or 5w-40. I've always used 15w-40 in every F2/350 I have had since 2011. Did this rec for oil in the diesel change? I was thinking the 5w-40 was usually diesels in passenger cars.

The cap is correct, if you want more details about Ford's recommendations the Owner's Manual has a chart to follow. Most all diesels since 2006 have used a variety of oils in the 15w40, 10w30, and 5w40 flavor. Just make sure the API rating is correct. Oils for diesel cars is different than oil for diesel trucks.
