Any oil cooler/filter relocation kits for sale?
Or has anyone built their own? Looking into building my own right now and trying to figure out what cooler to use. Hit me up with any info.
Thanks!

This is a dead horse.....and it's not worth trying to build your own, just buy a kit from bulletproofdiesel.com

Interesting. I've got everything lined up and it's about 500-600 cheaper

If you've got it all lined out then why are you asking for advice on how to do it or what cooler to use. FYI the cooler (assuming you're going air cooled) you will need that has the correct flow and btu ratings will cost you about $500.....so you're right there at the same price for something you'll have a bunch of work it and might not even work as well.
I'm not tryingto be a dick, just honest, many have tried building their own kit and either failed or spent the same or more money than just buying the kit in the first place.

I read a thread a while back about a guy who tried had some headaches and came to be about the same price.

IPR makes a kit also but I haven't run either, I lean towards IPRs because I like the location in the engine bay better and the fact they have a full flow coolant filter before the cooler.

I thought Liberator made cathedors and colostomy bags... at least I saw a late night infomercial saying so....

There are other options and it can be done cheaper. But on these forums if you don't go with BPD you are shunned and considered outcast :)

Here is one great option that will do just what you are wanting and at a much cheaper cost if you know what you are looking for and shop around...

This is the plate you'll need to get rid of the stock cooler and run lines to a remote cooler/filter. AN lines and fittings are easy to find anywhere and good oil coolers are around $250 if you look around.

That's not how it works, there's a lot more to it than that.
But if you think you know more than their engineers and all the R&D done to perfect the kits by all means give it a shot, but don't steer other people into a false way of building the kit.

When I last looked, the MPD plate had -10 connections. A person recently posting on here after doing an MPD plate install had some temp anomalies that were - in part - related to flow. So, I think that it is safe to say that the connections remain the same.

Anyone doing the math will see that -12 are really what's needed to match the flow rate specs of the 6.0. BPD sells a similar plate for about the same price. ...with -12 connections.

Oil Cooler Delete Adapter, Ford 6.0L and 6.4L Diesel

My point isn't to mindlessly push BPD. ...or to shun or make anyone feel like an outcast. Specs are specs.

Nice, didn't know they offered that. Wonder why they state-

"This plate does NOT have any allowances for mounting the OEM oil filter/fuel filter assembly.
This plate does not easily feed coolant into an EGR cooler. It is possible, but more difficult to do than our standard 6.0L block.
This plate does not feature a built in oil pressure bypass like our standard 6.0L block does."

Can you buy just their standard 6.0L Block?
