We own a F550 we purchased used only a few months ago. The truck had only around 130k miles or so and a carfax report. The truck was working fine but we purchased it from a local dealer that offered no warranty. Unfortunately at the time we did not find any other options locally and we decided to get it. Now the engine is dead and we need to replace it. as we use this truck to pull construction equipment. I want to make sure we find a reputable source for the engine and a shop. We're in Miami. Through one of our employees we Found a shop in the Belleview FL area, a bit far that is selling a 0 mile rebuilt drop in for $10,500, Installation 2,500 and if he picks up the truck from us in Miami it would be another $1000. So all in all around $14,000. Looking for opinions, options etc.
