Maybe the 6.7 sound better and louder

First, deleting is out of the question. Also nothing illegal that will get me a ticket.

Is there anything I can do to make the 6.7 louder? More like the 6.0 or 7.3? I know it won't ever be that loud but I want to be able to hear my diesel sound like a diesel.

If there's a way can some estimate a price?

Someone said something about a resonator?

Yup the truck sounds to tame.

As others have said, you won't gain anything with a new turbo or just a DPF back pipe. The key is the DPF, think of it as a giant resonator/muffler.

There are slight sound mods that can be made but again SLIGHT at best and cost really isn't worth it. A DPF back straight pipe and an aftermarket intake will help ever so slightly but many experienced the same with even the 6.0ls and 7.3ls for example: my muffler fell off a 2004 f350 and the sound was meh... then my cat got a hole in it and it sounded WAY better. Funny is the same thing happened to my non catalyst (cat free) truck. Someone crawled under and cut my muffler off but was nice enough to weld a straight pipe in its place...

Point being the cat/dpf is the primary killer of sound, reliability and performance in these trucks. You can also get a full replacement exhaust with just a stock power tune and keep the parts in the garage. Many have done that and since there is no power tuning nothing ever happens etc.

Obs 7.3 sound great, nbs 7.3 good but not great after the split shot (precursor to pilot injection and I don't understand what the difference is),

But my 7.3 guys won't like this but the 6.0 sounds the best.

I drove a 6.7 yesterday and it's so quiet you can't find even hear the diesel.

I was hoping I could make a 6.7 sound better...of course it won't be a 6.0 or 7.3. it seems like people actually want a quiet diesel. I guess if I had to drive one all the time I may feel the same.
