it sounds like your loosing all power then it reconnects and the truck puts you in to a wts GP cycle ?

i would be looking at the main power like battery connections ETC
the p1000 means the PCM has lost power the crank and cam are probably because of the intermittent power loss the vss p0500 ? could be caused by the same power drop out

 

All the connections at the batteries are solid. The was the first thing I checked while sitting on the road dead, the truck cranks strong just doesn't start

 

could be cooked harness to the pcm :dunno:

 

That's what I'm thinking, do you think the transmission matters? I can find harnesses for auto transmissions but I have a manual transmission. Would the harness for the auto trans work on my truck?

Did you find a solution to this problem?? I have an 03 6.0 2500. At any speed I'll have a complete loss of power, accompanied by the glow plug light. I have to remove my foot from the accelerator, and wait about three seconds before power is restored. I was thinking that it may be a FICM problem, or a wiring harness. Any information would be greatly appreciated.
