Level kit with the on board weight scales.

I have been trying to figure out the weight scales after a level kit on a 2023 F350.

The scale just reads zero all the time.

I saw on the F150 had the same issue. He did the dealer route as did I and they could not reset the scales.

He ended up using Forscan and was able to reset the scale. I tried, but Forscan does have that provision yet on the Super duty, I assume as this is the first year for the scales in a SD.

I emailed Forscan and they asked that I send some information which I plan to do next weekend when I get time.

In the meantime I found that a few shops are making a drop down bracket to trick the scale like the level kit is not there.

I'm not a fan of that as the headlights auto adjust uses the level from what I understand to adjust each time you start.

I plan to order the a set of drop down brackets for now until maybe Forscan can add the function to the SD to make the correction.

Just though this might help someone else and maybe someone has more to ad to help solve the issue.

I thought the same thing.

More things to go wrong.

These trucks are beginning to be a computer you drive.

It's going to be interesting to see how the repair end of things has to transition to what I suspect will be two different types of technician. One who can turn a wrench and one who can click on keyboards.

We have some pretty technical things already but it's getting more and more involved.

An aftermarket exhaust tip causing higher decibels could, beyond a reasonable doubt to a diesel hating judge/jury, cause you to be less aware of your surroundings.

Atleast in CA I could see this happening.

California seems to be ridiculous about damn near everything. I'm wondering when they're gonna start regulating how many breaths you can take in a minute. Pretty state, most of it anyway, but I could never live there. Too many people and too many dumb laws.

Born and raised in CA. Spent time elsewhere but this is home. For better or for worse. I just wish these invaders would have the same attitude and stay in their country. Let the country destroy itself before it gets rebuilt. CA is on that pathway anyways...

Cali, don't take this personally, but what the hell are the people in your state smoking to make them think the way they do??? I know California has a large over population problem, everybody wants to be where the weather is nice most of the time, but talk about an over regulated state. Holy smoke. Some of the laws you folks have are ridiculous. They almost tell you how many breaths you take a minute. It's a beautiful state, great weather, just too many people and too many laws. I'm sure you see having been there most of your life. What are your thoughts?

LOL! It was an awesome place to be until about the turn of the century. Some parts are still nice, and law enforcement actually does something. In the metro areas it's a cesspool.

What's wrong? The white politicians are racing to give everything away to stay in power and get the votes of the colored voters after the demographics shifted. Just wait, with the invasion at the southern border, it's coming to your town next. They will out vote you in the area you have decades or centuries of family history in. All this will happen in the span of one generation.

I remember when they started talking about the Latinos starting to have a larger share of the school student numbers. Now it's OVEREHELMINGLY a future of Latinos. It happened VERY quickly.

How do you think biden got elected!?!?

It's great when you import a bunch of people with little money that become the dependent class, until you realize they become a big economic factor and they don't support white businesses. Isee "support brown businesses" t-shirts everywhere. The people coming here do not like us. They just want what we have.

I spent a lot of time in CA in the late 80s. Fullerton, Anaheim, the Hughes plant. I was the Liaison between the Army and Hughes for a system they were building for the Army. Anyway, over population seemed to a problem back then. Over regulation on what seemed like everything. What I saw the most of was concrete, asphalt and people. Everywhere!!!! Crime was ridiculous. Head towards the mountains and it was gorgeous country. Just way too many people.

Why is it the rest of the world thinks the USA is the only country to flock to? I don't know about everyone else but I'm damn tired of having to support all these aliens period. Legal or not. Our government gives them advantages that they don't offer it's own natural born citizens. I'm really tired of that nonsense. Let them go live somewhere else.

I'm going to stop while we're ahead. I don't want to get into too much trouble with Mr Wolf opening up a can of worms in a cannon barrel.

Mods will hopefully clean this up as we have totally derailed....apologies to the OP

for the record, I'm with both of you

Update.

I was a disappointed that the brackets I got to set the scale to factory position were not coated in any way.

It really seems for 200 dollars they should have at least been rattle canned, possibly even powder coated.

So I coated them in steel it.

I have them installed and the scale does seem work again.

Glad you got it working again.
that's a crazy system.
I also agree that they should have been prepainted, especially for the cost. I think powdercoating is overrated and always causes rust issues

I guess you better get all the bells and whistles for as much as newer trucks cost
