International 4700 t444e issues

Hello everyone! I'll try and keep this as short as possible.

About a year and a half ago I purchased a 1998 international 4700 box truck with a t444e engine. Since buying it, the truck has always started right up when I go to start it the first time on any given day, whether the dog days of summer or the bitter cold month of February. It has literally NEVER failed to start. Staying on, however, is a different story.

I have not used the truck much at all in this time frame, I've been working on converting it into a RV so it just sits in one spot. When I first got the truck, when it shut off prematurely, I would just go to start it again and it almost always just started back up. Lately though, when shutting off prematurely it will not just start right back up. Most often I have to let it sit for a time (sometimes minutes sometimes hours) before successfully starting it back up.

Has anyone here had similar issues?

Also, here's a list of all the codes I get when running the diagnostic:

111 - ecm - no fault detected
145 - cmp - cmp signal inactive while icp has increased
222 - brake - brake switch circuit fault
332 - icp - Injection Control Pressure Above Spec. With Engine Off ICP
113 - ecm pwr - electrical system voltage B+ out of range low
141 - vss - vehicle speed signal out of range low
225 - EOP EOP sensor signal in-range fault
626 - ECM/PWR Unexpected reset fault
231 - dcl/ata - pg.39 - ata common fault

145 cam position code could be the sensor or the wiring
332 ICP sensor again sensor or the wiring
113 ECM power, main relay or wiring
626 sounds like a short or broken wire

Checking over the harness carefully for damage would be the first order of business
check the battery connections where the accessory wires that power the computers start
low battery voltage(less than 9 volts) is gonna anger the computer gods, so if your battery is low, erase the codes and recharge or replace

check the fuse box for water damage -- unless International/Navistar moved it, then it is in the same spot as my '91 and '83 -- both of those have water damage(rust) at the air box on the front of the cab , that can get into the fuse box -- seems the water drains are easily plugged and allow water and trash to sit in the box and rust the metal -- tilt the hood and remove the screen, look in the box and what do you see? -- use a water hose in there and see if the drains are clear. My '83 has a hole I can stick my hand thru.

Also check the big harness plug on the drivers side fire wall for corrosion

Thanks for the response hydro. I will definitely check all of what you said, but, how do I erase the codes?

Ha, stretching my memory here, ...push the top buttons on each side of the steering wheel at the same time, and hold for 10 seconds, should beep and clear the codes

found ya over on schoolie.net ;)
