I am a little disappointed, but I am sure it can be explained.
I recently purchased a SCT X3 from IDP and along followed Eric's Econo, Street and Tow tunes.
I uploaded the Street tune first and went on some errands. Well, I am either a little confused or disappointed. First off the power is great and that is not my complaint. When normally accelerating from a stop there is your typical turbo lag, which is understandable, but then all of the sudden the power comes in and just about snaps your head back making it very difficult to drive around town in traffic. Actually, it is not difficult it is pretty much un-streetable. There is the lack of smoothness that I thought would come with the tune. If you slightly let off the accelerator, to counter act the excessive acceleration, the truck falls on it's face. What I am saying is the amount of throttle that is inputted compared to how the truck accelerates seems to be terribly off. It is either all or nothing with the accelerator.
If you can modulate the throttle, which by the way is very difficult, the shifting is horrendous. The shifting is really firm, fine, but once it shifts from 1st to 2nd it then proceeds shift through 3rd to 4th in a matter of seconds and bangs through them very hard and fast.
I am basically asking for help and if this is common with this tune or if anyone is experiencing the same feeling.
A lot of people say they run the Street or Xtreme Street as their daily drivers so it is hard for me to think this is the way the tune should act.
