How to wire my OEM tailgate camera?

I have a 2008 F250 with a newer, I think 2012 tailgate with integrated camera in the Ford emblem. It is not wired underneath the truck into the cab since the tailgate was replaced and only has a pigtail hanging from it. I have a new Pioneer double din head unit and now would like to wire in the backup camera. How can I get this done? Anyone done this before? Is there a stock Ford harness with RCA outputs at the head unit or what kind of cable can I buy to do it myself?

Positive lead to reverse light positive to power camera, ground to any chassis ground, yellow / video cable to camera input (marked RC) on rear of Pioneer, purple wire for rear camera activation on rear of Pioneer to circuit powered only when in reverse ( bottom rear of fuse box or under driver door sill ), set Pioneer home screen rear camera to off (believe I or not), set Pioneer camera polarity to 'battery'. Enjoy.

I am in the process of doing the same thing (almost). I am installing an aftermarket camera to a Kenwood double din unit. Actually have it installed and working except for the reverse wire.
It is NOT in the driver door sill (at least not on my 2008 Job 1). That is the only remaining issue connecting to the reverse wire so it activates the camera when I put it in reverse. BTW I connected the camera power to key on wire (same place I connected my H&S) so I can activate the camera any time I want.

Now if I can just find the reverse wire (green with brown strip) in the cab.

Anyone know where this wire is?

Thanks

The wire you want is in the passenger side kick. Remove the trim panel and there will be a large white colored plug. The reverse wire (which is green with a brown stripe) is in the front corner.

Here are a couple of pictures.

Hope this helps,

I looked at the wrong diagram and would've had him looking on the wrong side.
