How often should you clean ur turbo? I would have to take it somewhere to have it done as im not even going to try a attempt of doing it myself, to much crap i would take off and never get it back to normal

Only when it gets dirty enough to cause the vanes to stick, or if you happen to have the turbo out for other fixes, then you might as well clean it.
My current turbo has never been cleaned, going on 3.5 years without issues.
As long as your not idling for a prolong time, using a smoke switch, or letting the truck sit (rust on vanes/unison ring), you should be fine. Just give her a good work out every now and then to excersize the vanes.

I answered in the other thread, but there's no real set amount of time. In humid climates, they are more prone to sticking, particularly when they spend a lot of time parked or idling. Like your horses, they need to be exercised. This keeps the oil flowing and the vanes moving.
PS. I'm sure that you could pull your own turbo and clean it. It isn't difficult at all, but the engine looks VERY intimidating. There are plenty of folks who have documented the process quite well and worst case, you might just have a little get together and invite some CPA members over to give you a hand. :thumb:
