My 2002 F350 CC LB DRW 4X4 as pictured weighs 9,340 lbs with the kid, wife and me in it, full tank and all my tools/gear.

Its not as heavy as I thought it would be, I ave 285/75R16 tires, ranch and bumpers, steel spacers, my rack is 2x4 3/16 wall tubing, B&W turnover, steel tool box (full of tools) and a bunch of other things that added weight over stock.

5,300 lbs over front and 4,040 lbs over rear. My cab tag says GAWR 5200 lbs front and GAWR 8,250 rear, so I'm a 100 lbs over but leaves 4210 lbs pay load correct? Or is it GVWR is 11,500 lbs - 9,340 = 2,160 lbs payload?

Anyone ever run a stock one over a CAT scale?

Last year my son took a load to the dump. They weighed him going in and coming out, charged him the differnce. The empty weigh (with my son in it) was 7500 lbs. I don't remember how much fuel was in the tank.

2001 CC LB Auto trans with LT285/75R16 tires.

I weighed my 1999.5 F250 Supercab LB 4x4 7.3L Auto a couple of years ago. With a full tank of fuel, LT265/75R16 tires and myself (170lb.) in the truck it weighed in at 7300lb.

Last time I was at the scrap yard I weighed in at 7880. Ccsb 4x4 zf6 on 35" tires with me in it and 1/2 tank of fuel. I haven't weighed it since I jumped up to 37's

was just at the scrap yard this weekend

8100lbs with me and the fiancee in the truck and 3/4 tank of fuel.

guess if i go by the GVWR of 8800 i can only put 700lbs in the truck, and my 93 gallons tank was empty(about 600lbs full), yup, 8800lbs gvwr on a CCLB SRW is a joke. i ignore it often

According to the Cat Scale, my 2015 Platinum F-450 totaled out at 9820 lbs.

My 06 F250 CCSB was 7720# last month after I removed the tailgate, the spare tire, any and all loose items, jack, jack handle, and the under-seat tray. Gotta keep it down for CA registration fees.

can you request to re-weigh your truck in CA for a lesser weight fee? Im thinking I can make mine weight less than 7k to get down in fees.

UGH! nevermind, CA has a provision for vehicles purchased that are already registered in CA. You cannot modify vehicles to have a lesser weight than originally printed on the dmv registration :(

I have a document that I used for some research when I first got my truck. You might find some of the information valuable. I didn't break it down into detailed explanations, but if you have any questions, I'll try to answer.

My Truck is a 2000 F250, XLT, Super cab (extended), Short bed, 2WD with a 6-speed manual, and a tool box. When I scaled it, I pulled out my 5th wheel, took the ball out of the hitch, emptied everything from the bed, cab, and tool box, fueled it until diesel was coming out of the filler neck (not foam), and it came out to a weight of 6,660 lbs without driver. I also took a snapshot of the cat scale print out for you.

My Truck
- Weight IAW specifications pdf:
- Extended cab 4x2 base curb weight: 5237
- Power stroke/6spd = +680
- Tool box (empty): +150
- 5th Wheel: +250
- Options
o A/C +44
o XL +6
o Hitch Receiver +49
o Power doors/locks +15
o Running boards +64
- = 6495 lbs calculated curb weight
- 6660 lbs actual scaled curb weight
- 6900lbs scaled “race weight” with me and nothing else (including 5th wheel and full tank of diesel)
- BLUF = limiting factor is 1) receiver/hitch, which is limited to 10,000 lbs. 2) w/ Upgraded hitch, truck is limited at 13,100 lbs, and at the 1,900 lbs hitch weight limit, hitch weight would be at 14.5%.
- 20,000 lbs GCWR
o Towing capacity
 5th wheel = 20,000-6900= 13,100 lbs
• Tongue weight for 5th wheel should be 17-25% = 2262-3326
 Bumper pull = 10,000 lbs (hitch capacity, perhaps?)
• 10-15% tongue weight = 1,000-1,500 lbs
- 8,800 lbs GVWR (max on all 4 tires)
- GAWR (Gross axle weight rating)
o Front = 4250 lbs
o Rear = 6084 lbs
 Weight bias = 60/40
• Front (race weight) = 3920 lbs (580lbs remaining)
• Rear (race weight) = 2980 lbs (3104 lbs remaining)
o 10% = 31,040
o 15% = 20,693
o 20% = 15,520
o 25% = 12,416 lbs
- Payload = 8,800-6,900 = 1,900 lbs
o Bumper pull
 Max trailer at 10% hitch weight = 19,000 lbs
 Max trailer at 12.5% hitch weight = 15,200 lbs
 Max trailer at 15% hitch weight = 12,667 lbs
o 5th Wheel
 Max trailer at 15% hitch weight = 12,667 lbs
 Max trailer at 17% hitch weight = 11,176 lbs
 Max trailer at 20% hitch weight = 9,500 lbs
 Max trailer at 25% hitch weight = 7,600 lbs
- ZF6 transmission (L-5.79, 1-3.31, 2-2.1, 3-1.31, 4-1.00, 5-.72, R-5.23)
- Rear gear = 3.73
- Tires: 265/75/16
- Wheels: 16x7

Web research:
4x4 vs. 4x2 = ~400 lbs
7.3 engine: 960-1100lbs (best guess 1000, but not includes turbo stuff?)
6.8L V10: 650
5.4: best guess 500lbs
Regular cab vs. supercab: 166lbs
SC vs. Crew Cab: 354 lbs
RC vs. CC: 416
ZF6 6-spd manual: 235 lbs (300 with clutch, fluid, & bellhousing?) – specifications pdf makes it out as heavier than the Auto
4R100 Auto: 250 w/o convertor, 300 w/ convertor, 350 w/ fluid
Short bed vs. long bed:
- Supercab = 218lbs - 231
- Crew cab = 136-169

It appears that the limitation on rear GAWR is the Tires, followed closely by the springs. From online research:

Weighed my truck about a month ago, was a truck scale since it was a warehouse/distribution center. 08 CC/LB/DRW/4WD with a service topper full of electrical crap scaled in 11,320 lbs

My 2000 7.3 Excursion weighs about 8300 with a half tank. This was with my old "new frontier" bumper. I built my own a couple years ago out of 3/16 plate, it weighs more.

My Excursion, 20' trailer with Jeep is combined of about 16,500. But my Jeep didn't have the top or doors. Light gear compared to what I normally bring.

2003 F-350 SCLB 4x4 XLT 7.3 with truck side Boss plow setup and gooseneck hitch before I pulled the box and put on the flatbed.

Gross Weight: 7560
Steer Axle: 4560 Drive Axle: 3000
Weight at scale with me and full of fuel. My personal weight at the time is 260#

Last time on the scale with the flatbed installed, a couple of Milwaukee tool boxes in the cab, a hi-lift, 25’ 1/2” chain, and me out of the cab it was:
GVW: 8260#
Front: 4760#
Rear: 3500#

2002 F-250 4wd XLT 7.3 CCSB 6 speed.

Stock wheels/tires, straight pipe (cat delete), AFE stage II intake system, ATS comp. housing, B&W turnover, Southbend clutch/flywheel, MBRP downpipe, Deka batteries.

7,480 lbs. @ half tank of fuel.

My 1997 F-350 Crew Cab (and utility bed) Powerstroke weighs in at 8600 lbs give or take a few depending on how much fuel. The weight is pretty much evenly distributed - unless we're loaded for an RV trip when we pile more crap in the bed. We just went over 127,000 miles on our last trip.

You got enough mirror space there buddy? I’ve always like having a mirror on the front fender for those people who lurk in your blind spot.

Hey Jokerace, I was a truck driver for over 30 years. I LIVE by mirrors, especially the one on the right fender (which I bought at a garage sale for $5 for a pair). Still, I got fools trying to sneak in on the right as I make a turn.

Thanks for noticing - ha.

Same here. I used to do oversized/overweight back in my days. For some odd reason I always get small cars whipping in front of me just to make an exit. Thinking big trucks can stop on a dollar bill.

Truck looks good.
