This is my first post on here but I just got myself an 03 6.0 Bulletproofed with head gasket, heads, etc. I have been monitoring my ECT(coolant temp) and EOT (oil temp) though my friend's SCT tuner and with the torque pro app.
I was cruising (not towing or anything) around 60 with my coolant temp sitting right at 188.6 Fahrenheit and my oil temp sitting at 216-ish. I've read all the forms and a possible cause high delta is a clogged oil cooler or the temp sensor. It seems that the oil temp just sits around 211-216 and I was wondering if anyone knows how to check if it is the oil temp sensor?
I feel that the sensor might be reading a little high because the oil temp continues to just read between the same temperatures and doesn't go past 218 tops. Is this even possible?
If someone knows some good information on this I would love to hear it.
