So the new truck has been running great on my way home today (roads are wet if you think that has anything to do with it)

the check engine light started to blink but it was more of a sputter and not timed flashes, the truck was running fine and there was no power loss or anything. Then the O/D light started to flash and then a whole bunch of other ones (WTS,cruise, water in fuel etc..) all rapidly and intermittently with the truck sitting in park. I shut it off and started it back up and had the same thing happen. I check under the hood didnt notice anything.

Please help with suggestions

so I went back to the truck after about 15 minutes, I started it back up and it did the same thing at idle, reving it made no difference. I went out to check out some stuff I read on here about the fuse box possibly being the problem but tapping it or moving wires has no effect on it. I took it for a spin around the block and it didnt happen again, everything was working as far as gauges.

Also while the lights on the dash flash no other lights (interior or headlights etc..) are affected.

Update: so I went out again and imideatly the lights started flashing, however this time it almost stalled out for a second (the idle dipped real low) but I noticed when I reved it just the O/D light would blink slowly, when I let off the accelerator the lights would begin to flash again, raise the rpm and just the O/D light. Someone had told me they had a problem like this but on a BMW and it was the CPS.

so I keyed it over this morning and the same thing happened, before I started it up I could here the GPR clicking on and off and a bunch of other clicks. Is my computer fried maybe? also it stalled out about 30 seconds of starting. Restarted first try and at anything above idle the lights went away.

Drove it to work with no problems after I posted I went back out fifteen minutes later and there was no sign of the problem. I called my mechanic friend he said it may be a loose belt or battery problem

ok so after work I went to start it and it just cranked waited about 5 minutes and after an extended crank it turned over. I bought two new batteries, and a cam pos sensor. after changing the batts it just cranked (I didnt hold it for more than a few seconds but it def. did not start right up) so I swapped out the CPS (it had a black one in it) and it starts right up like usual. however after idling for a couple minutes the lights came back on and it stalled. I started it up and now reving has no effect on it. It stalled twice on the way home at about 55mph not low idle. each time the stalling was during the light show. Please I really need some help does anyone think its the computer?

With the key on but the motor not running when the light flash I here lots of clicking that corresponds with the lights flashing the dome light also dims a bit as well.

I had a problem like this on my brothers mustang. We replaced batteries alt. And swaped out ecu's. Turned out to be a bad ground wire where it connected to the block.

If it is not getting proper power it wil. On the car the radio would turn it's self. Gauges would do crazy things. Turn signal lights would come on and stay on.
May not be what's wrong but worth a look into IMHO

my old 99psd did that in the rain. got water in the fuse panel under steering column. winshield was leaking and water ran down the wires into fuse box. radio would come on. interior light would come on, overdrive light, airbag and the best is the ventilation would run in the off position! lots of dead batteries over that problem. resealed windshield and no more issues.
