Looking for an H&S mini maxx , does anyone have any experience with this tuner ? If so is it the best for my 14 f250 ?

I've had my minimaxx installed since January. I've had no problems. I'm getting more power and about 3mpg better just running the stock power level and not adjusting the low boost fueling. The sound and smell will make seem like a real diesel truck!

Overall, I love my mini maxx. It's the only tuner I've ever had that allows you to change tunes on the fly. Which is a HUGE advantage IMO.

Not that I change tunes all the time. But I don't run my tow tune as my DD, mainly because it doesn't give me the best mileage. So, when I do hook on my trailer, it's as easy as the push of a button to change to tow. Instead of shutting the truck off, taking 20 minutes to load a new tune, and hope nothing goes wrong in the process. .

My only complaint is, H&S's tranny tunes. Their tunes make the tranny shift too firm IMO. So, I have returned my tranny to stock tuning, and the truck drives great.

If I were shopping for a tuner today. It would be between the mini maxx, and Spartan's Ngauge.

As far as your EGR. If you think you might return your truck to stock any time down the road for any reason. Just install a set of EGR block off plates.

I did a full delete, and I love not staring at that piece of junk under my hood when i'm under there, and makes working on things a whole lot easier.

But, now that I've taken it off, I would not want to have to put the thing back on. I would NOT rate the process of a full EGR delete as "easy".

Block off plates on the other hand, would be very easy to install, and just as easy to remove.

Thanks for the input guys ! It's a tough decision between the H&S and the sct. Still not sure which one u prefer. As far as towing I won't be doing that very often. Just traveling up and down the highway is my biggest concern as of now.

im running the mini and love it. i was between that and sct but didnt like the idea of reflashing the truck everytime i wanted to switch it. thats really what it comes down to. if your ok with doing that then go with a cheaper one like sct. i agree with the previous guy tho the mini trans tuning is too firm on the 1-2 shift after that its fine for me. ill be getting GH tunes for my mini eventually

If you are looking to delete, you need to do research on what units are capable of doing that. SCT is still in business but that is because they no longer offer a "Race" tuner. also, i have found set race tuners on the web and they are running about the same as some h&s tuners right now. i ran an sct pre- delete and it was really good. i have an h&s now and love it.

Can't go wrong with either one. I have 2 left over Mini Maxx from the Rudy's event that I can get you a sweet deal on if that helps!

I’d go, well, I went, EZ Lynk with switch on the fly and have no regrets. You can change between 5 tunes with the knob at any time while driving. Had an SCT previously and the EZ Lynk is in a different league. Looked at Mini-Maxx’s as an in between of SCT and EZ Lynk but found some reports of Mini Maxx’s being too aggressive in the tuning and causing troubles in some trucks. Just my .02, any of the tuners will do a good job, it just depends what features and capabilities you want.

Quick Question.. I recently had my 2011 F250 fully deleted with a 5" down pipe and supposedly had a 150hp single tune put on it.. Don't get me wrong, the truck is EXTREMELY fast and gets there quick but I haven't taken it to a dyno or had a way to check where it is actually at, as far as HP & Torque.. Does anyone possibly know where I could be sitting at with all things I had done to it so far? I understand that you won't get what is claimed and you do lose a little with the driveline once deleted but I definitely believe I am well above the standard 400hp and 735lb at stock factory.
