Guys -
I have not had to do anything previously to the front end on my truck, so all this is new to me. I want to confirm a few things before ordering parts.
2009 F250 CCSB 4x4 with stock suspension set up
115K miles
I've developed a clunking on left and right turns at low speed that you can feel under your feet on driver and passenger side.
I lifted the front off the ground and tried to move everything. The only thing I can find that has play is the bar that runs from the passenger side knuckle to the driver side knuckle - not the rod that runs from the pitman arm to the passenger side - the one below it.
I've put a video on youtube of the play in the joint on the passenger side. It is under ericinboca and called "Play in front end"
Couple of questions -
Is this too much play? It did not take much effort to move the bar.
And what parts do i need?
I think I need:
* drag link end, outer tie rod, right
* inner tie rod, right
* outer tie red, left
If the parts diagram shows in the thread, that's parts number 9, 5 and 6.
Any other thoughts or advice??
