So, I bought this truck recently as a project. The 4 wheel was not working and I discovered the manual lockout was not working.
when I pulled the lockout to replace it, the assembly came apart leaving the innermost gear stuck in the hub. When I say stuck, I mean stuck. Heat, homemade puller, cold chisel, everything short of dynamite has been tried.
my question is, can the hub and axle be pulled as one piece (can’t get to the snap ring due to the aforementioned stuck gear)?
This is the passenger side on a 2005 F350 SRW.
