Fiberlock, or other head gasket sealers???

Has anyone had any experience, positive or negative, with treating head gasket issues with the pour in head gasket repair products like "K&W Fiberlock" or any other?

I realize this cannot replace a true repair, but I need something that might get me by for a little while and above else "do no harm"

I have a 2006 F-250 6.0 L with 190,000 miles and I am losing coolant, it was supposed to have been bullet proofed before I bought it (I have receipts) and it does have studs but i suspect the head gaskets are not sound. It also had the EGR delete at the same time.

I am willing to try a simple fix even if it may not help, but my biggest fear is that I pour stuff in there that gums up the oil cooler and I create a bigger mess!

I emailed the company and they replied with very detailed directions to use their product and said that is would not block up the oil cooler.

I would love to hear back from someone that has used this product and what the result was, or another product for that matter.
Thanks for the help,
Bo

If it is going to block up the leak in the head gasket, it is also going to block up your oil cooler. Don't put any of that quick fix crap in your truck.

if it will seal the headgasket it will plug the oil cooler. If it does not plug the oil cooler, then it will not plug the head gasket leak. Not worth it.

^^ yep, what he said.
All you'll accomplish with a "stop leak" is clogging your oil cooler and possibly your radiator and heater core. The headgaskets leak from the compression side not the coolant side, so it would be blowing out any stop leak that tried to seal the gap.

You can give it a shot. Then, if it doesn't work (which it won't) all you have to do is remove the engine, remove the heads, pistons, crank, cam, front & rear covers and all of the core plugs so you can boil the bare block and heads to get the product out.

If your didn't pick up on the sarcasm I'm going to reiterate my opinion. NOTHING GOES IN THE DEGAS BOTTLE EXCEPT COOLANT! (except chemicals when cleaning)

This is definitely one of those times where, if you have to ask, you probably shouldn't be doing it.

This is the only thing I've seen:

Injector Bore Repair Tool

It's a "Cylinder Head Repair Tool, Injector Bore, Ford 6.0L," $645 and "Sealant, Cylinder Head Repair Tool, Ford 6.0L," $24.95.

I saw a write up in DIeselWorld Magazine, and there were a few posts, but since then, I have not seen all that much. This kit will only work in very certain instances. If you read the advertisement, it will talk about them. If you have questions about this, call BPD about it. They are upfront and honest and will tell you if this is not for you.

My uneducated opinion, is if this worked in a wide variety of instances, then everyone would use this as preventative maintenance.
