I'm going in for my annual emissions "sniff" in Tucson tomorrow. They always look for, can't find, and ask me about the Emissions Label. There is a decal on the rear of the passenger valve cover that they think is it, but can't read because it was too dirty. I probably screwed up by cleaning it today. It is a "High Voltage Warning" decal. Not emissions.

I've seen the CATALYST and NON-CATALYST decals on OBS on the underside of the hood. I can't find anything anywhere on this truck. The hood is original to the truck, never replaced or painted.

Thanks for any insight. February 1999 production F250 4X4, Federal Emissions.

Thank You, GD.

That linked thread is only a few months ago, I usually remember and will look for recent discussions. Sorry.

I went and looked again. I found the pink sticker on the passenger valve cover, under the fresh air pipe. I cleaned it, and there is no "OC". It looks just like the pink sticker in Z-MANN's post above.

Thanks again.

no worries at all.
Sorry I couldn't be more help.

Would you mind posting a pic of your valve cover sticker?
It would help the next guy.
You were plenty of help. I found it because you helped me figure out where to look.

I knew I should have taken a pic when the charge air pipe was off to gain access to the sticker to clean it. These will at least help to know where to look for it. As I said, it is identical to the pink sticker in ZMANN's link.

Oh don't curse us yet.... one day they'll come for our straight pipes... Let us take our time😂

To add to the conversation... I can't find my sticker on my '03 at all. I probably need to remove the insulation on the hood to find it but haven't had the guts to do it yet.
