Let me see your trucks. We just got our 2017 f350 dually last night. Wife said the tires look tiny. We traded a 2006 with 35s on it in. I?d love to keep the stock wheels as new ones are so damn expensive. What?s the biggest we can fit on here. I tow with mine so that is also a factor to consider.

Subscribing. I'm in the 2018 dually market soon and our wives agree with each other. I'm not allowed to buy the dually until I fork over the cash for her to set the truck up to her liking...leveled w/ slight rake angle, tires, probably wheels to accommodate tires...crap. Guess these trucks aren't expensive enough for us. My last new SD I wore the OE tires out before level lift & big tires. But that was a SRW w/ OE 20s.

On one of the sites a fellow put 285x75x17 Toyo MT's on the stock wheels but used spacers in the rear. His truck looked great.

I know it's an old thread, but evidently, my wife thinks the same.... tires too small.

I want to keep the stock wheels since I love the looks of them over everything else (except Alcoas but they don't make a 17 or 18" wheel - if they did, I would have bought them the day my wife mentioned Small Tire Syndrome).

Any word on what ya got? at least for tire size? I don't need aggressive tread since my trucks only sees asphalt and concrete.

TIA.

I’ve run that setup for over 40k miles now. At 60psi, you have a decent amount of gap at the rears, and you could drop down to 55 even for empty. 65psi when loaded and those tires are never going to touch. I had cupping issues on my front tires, thought it was balancing but I have Ford looking at the front suspension under warranty this week.

In some spots, my fronts are shot but the rears are still around 50% tread. So I bought two 50% tread matching tires off Ebay to put on the front before winter and keep on running. Can’t say enough good things about the mileage on these Coopers. I am going to mount the front tires without any wheel weights and use the Centramatic balancers on the hubs. People online seem to say those correct cupping issues.

@73IH810 thanks for the additonal info. You've helped me decide for sure what tires I'll be getting this winter. I've always had good luck and gotten good wear out of Cooper tires. I'd like to know how the centramtic balancers work for you and what the if anything dealership finds wrong on your front end. I bought my 16 CC LB DRW 4WD with 119k on it and have uneven cupped wear on the front tires as well. But from the wear on the rears the tires were not rotated regularly and it looks as tho still has original shocks on it. I'll be checking the front end out and replacing shocks before getting the new tires.
