DRL’s on brand new Spyder Headlights Won’t Turn On

I found them on eBay, recon has some similar to these for about $800. Although, they appear to be built of the same quality. I swapped out all the bulbs. You have to make sure that the bulbs you order fit the headlight. Because I ordered a H1 Led for the high beams and they didn’t fit because the bulb housing is made for an HID. I swapped the low beams with a HIKARI Led H7 Bulb And The highbeams with a H1 SYLVANIA Silverstar ZXE.

Swapping out the bulbs is a must, because the $5 bulbs it comes with are horrible.
Yep, I heard that just not any bulb will fit in that small compartment

Please post some pics when you can.:please: I'm considering this set and wanted to hear "real world" reviews VS the seemingly unreal ones on the vendor sites.

I have the Recon version and the white DRL bar is barely visible in daylight. You have to look hard to see if it's even turned on. I've only had them about 12 months and the clear coat is already peeling on the outside of the lens. Not worth the money they are asking for them. $300 is more like it.
I've been hearing this alot about the RECONs. I have yet to hear a bad review from anyone about the SPYDERs.

I just ordered a pair of SPYDERs and the SPYDER taillights. I have the LED Switchback Towing Mirror Turn signal/Running Light Side Marker from iJDMTOY and the :nerd: interior LED lights in my shopping cart for later.

Pretty pumped.

Did you have to install an LED harness for the Hikari and if you did does it come with the harness? It looks to me like both the low beam(projector) and the high beam are both capped off. How were you able to remove the caps to get the Hikaris and the Sylvanias in there?

Sorry for all of the questions. I ordered the SPYDERs/Hikaris/Sylvanias and tailights(plug and play and ALL LED)and they will be here by Friday.

It’s fine, I’m more than happy to help you out. So the Hikari’s are totally plug in play and the caps are just little rubber caps that can be removed by hand. Now the hikaris will be in there kind of tight by the way.
Also I’d love to hear how the interior lights go because i considering getting some. The sylvania’s aren’t the best things out there but I needed a quick bulb. Im going to the be converting the fog lights to led soon as well.
I noticed on a lot of the reviews for the Sylvanias that they burn out anywhere from 6 months to a year but the reviews aren't exactly up to date either and it's not like I'm going to be driving around with my high beams on all the time. I think the last review was from last year. The Hikaris had great ratings.

I sent you a PM with a link for the fog lamps. I think they are going to look FAN-TASTIC and they had good reviews.

Thanks for all your help. I knew I made the right choice joining this forum:grin:
