Soot load % is just a scale from 0 to 100 where 100 is full and 0 is empty. Soot g/l is a measurement of the soot by volume in grams per liter.
Soot load % is just a scale from 0 to 100 where 100 is full and 0 is empty. Soot g/l is a measurement of the soot by volume in grams per liter.I loaded some new PID's into Torque and am monitoring DPF soot percentage, and soot grams/liter.
Very shortly, within 1/4 mile of an active regen completing, I noted the following:
Soot %: 29.1
Soot G/L: 0.5
After driving 40 miles of mixed highway/city driving, my readings are:
Soot %: 74.3
Soot G/L: 1.3
As I understand it, an active regen happens when the soot G/L reaches 2.6 or so.
What happens when the % gets to 100%? As shown above my % is at 74.3 but the G/L is only at 1.3.
Thanks!
Todd
