Camber Adjustment

I have a 1997 f-250 with the dana 50 ttb. I recently bought some 37" military wheels that are beadlocked and have runflats in that which makes each wheel about 170lbs. When I put them on it cause the wheels to camber and I don't want to drive with them like that and cause un even wear. I've read about camber adjustment and I have called shops around me and they are saying it will cost $500-$700 to fix. Can I do this myself and just eyeball or use a level to get them straighter so it wont wear as bad and as fast? What parts do I need and how do I do it?

Dana 60. Or take it to an alignment shop and have them put the correct camber sleeves in. I guess if you are cheap you could cut flat stock to put under your leaf spring to lift the front and correct camber.

You had this problem with the other tires also, but the spacing and extra diameter of the military tires just made it more noticeable
as the load varies on the front axle, so will the camber -- just the way that axle works
best you can do is get a little bit beefier springs to raise the front, then adjust with camber bushings

Do I need an alignment to see the camber or what do you suggest. For new springs whould I just buy a lift kit or does someone make stronger springs that stay stock height?

They have a wider offset than the factory tires/rims -- so puts more leverage on the suspension in that type of front axle -- but you already know this

Funny thing to watch is one of the Twin I-beam suspension trucks in the rear view mirror on a rough highway -- camber goes from way positive to way negative on each hump in the road -- that's why I love a straight axle, we don't get rounded tire shoulders

I got a 2” leveling kit and my camber was off even when the teck from rough country said I would be ok he was wrong so mine were tilted out at the top what I did was take the original camber bushing out in the top of the spindle and grind a flat 180 deg from the original flat and put it back in the spindle the flat is the so it doesn't rotate in the housing and it worked out perfect. Remember you very rarely are going perfectly straight all the time your cornering 80 percent of the time , have someone turn the steering wheel in your truck and stand in the front of it notice the camber of the wheel as it turns from left to right.you will be surprised what it does.
