Bought my ‘22 brand new and I started running the Motorcraft Cetane Booster from day 1. So I feel good that my truck has always been getting some fuel treatment. I just recently switched to the Archoil 6400 and 6500 treatments, doing the power boost of 2oz per 10 gallons.
It is definelty working and my truck is producing less soot. I run the Banks Datamonster so I know my truck regens roughly every 500 miles (mixed city and highway). When running the Motorcraft Cetane Booster my regen would start when the trigger was at 100%, and my soot level was usually at 63%. With the Archoil when my trigger hits 100% my soot level is now only at 40%. My question is why isn’t my trigger taking longer to get to 100% when I’m producing less soot, I’m still getting about 500 miles between regens…I should be going further. Does the computer take a few cycles to recognize this? Thanks.
