I've been working through some issues and one problem leads to another.
1. Can a Alternator from a 6.4 (2008 F450 Single ALT 6.4) be used with my 2000 F250 7.3
2. Doing some research I've seen reference made to a screen and check ball in the FPR housing is this applicable to my 2000 or is info related to the older models.
At times Batt V will randomly drop to ~7V and the wipers will come on although the switch is off with key in RUN Position and after some time (well after GP's heated) it will return to the nominal 12V.
batteries tested good alternator failed. Tested alternator at two different parts stores pictures are the results
