If your airbag light blinks 2 times then 7 times, more than likely the bulb on the
passenger shut off switch is blown. If that round OFF light doesn't flash when you turn your key on then that's your problem. So read this and dig out about $2 to fix it
Things you need:
1) 7mm and 5.5 mm socket
2) small flat screw driver
3) soldering iron
4) Radio Shack part # 272-1092
Or similar bulb with these specs
Voltage: 12V
Current: 60mA
Brightness (MSCP): 0.15
Average life: 10,000 hours
Procedure:
1) remove radio
2) using a 7 mm socket, remove the 2 screws above where the radio sits
3) now pull the entire console panel out of all the clips it might take some energy
4) take a smoke break or drink a beer or both!
5)remove connector from air bag key
6) remove 3 5.5mm screws that hold the airbag switch in place
7) with switch in hand use the small screwdriver to carefully unclip the plastic tabs that hold the case together
8) remove the little circuit board from the air bag switch
9) warm up the old solder gun and drink a beer while you wait
10)unsolder the old blown yellow bulb and replace with the new tiny bulb to the two solder points on the circuit board
11) put everything back together and cross your fingers that it works!!!
