Perhaps I didn't search long enough to see if a similar thread exist, but thought I'd start a thread for people to share their stories of success with the 6.7L PSD. As it goes on all forums, so many love to complain in public, and love in private. For those who are considering buying a 6.7L PSD and check the forums, it can be frightening to see so many threads on problems. So here's my 6.7L PSD short success story. I bought my 2012 F-250 used at a Ford dealership in April 2015. My truck now has 70,500 miles (I know...lots of miles for a 7 year old truck):umno: But in the nearly 4 years I've owned my truck I have had no issues at all. According to the Carfax report provided to me by the dealer, the previous owner had to have the primary radiator replaced at 45,000 miles. So lets see some stories from 6.7L owners (all model years) who are happy with their truck, and have had no or few minor issues with their trucks.

I have a 2014 F3 50 single rear wheel 8 foot bed crew cab XL . I completely and totally love this vehicle but I have had horror stories with my exhaust getting clogged continuously I do lots of city driving very little highway driving a lot of short trips . I have had some issues with my EGR coolant system leaking water, and recently a bad radiator cap. I have taken three long trips about 1000 miles each way towing a racecar all four trips the truck ended up in limp home mode with the engine light on for one reason or another. I intend to remove the EGR and DPF soon delete myself from some of these problems .

Not sure where the lack of success stories is but, the earlier 2011-2014s had some growing pains but now they have been called the new 7.3ls. Many have raved about their reliability and power especially in hot shot trucking. Even the infamous 6.7L Cummins had their share of head gasket issues prior to 2014 and all the def/dpf retrofit lawsuits etc.

This is a success story thread, yet you have to give your 2 cents worth of negativity at the 11-14s like usual. And, if you dont even own a 6.7, why are posting in this thread anyways?

Now that is out of the way, I have 0 complaints about my AWFUL 2011. I just hit 102k a few days ago, bought with 85k on it. A week after owning it the water pump started to leak and they replaced it no questions asked. Has been deleted since 88k, sadly its getting bulked up for a sticker again. Other than the water pump, oil changes and fuel filters and that's it.

Here goes.. I have a 2014 f350 screw 4x4. I have owned ford f series trucks scince the 1978. Some new some used. This is by far the best of them all. Power is great. Ride is good. Towing is fantastic. Have 112000 miles almost trouble free.

So my 2015 has been under my control since September 2014 now at 128k miles. I took it to Jenny Craig with 17k on the clock. Primary radiator needed to be fixed at 68k-ish, so I replaced it with an OEM one. Nothing further. I did have some "Low Fuel Pressure"/"Water in Fuel" messages I can't recall the miles, that had me at the dealership. It needed a new PCM. Problem solved. Nothing else but on-going routine maintenance, and fuel stops.

The attitude of this truck when viewed in the format of a movie.....and never doubt what it can do.

Dang and I thought my 2012 6.7 I’ve owned since 2015 had low miles... 83,000 :). My truck has been pretty awesome actually. Only thing I’ve had to do is replace the steering gearbox and pump. Really it didn’t even need it yet and was more of a precaution.

I bought a 2011 F-450 Back in the summer, 300,000km I got the OASIS from ford other than some new N0X sensors there has been (knock on wood) no issues except for the infamous Intercooler line fitting breaking. but that many miles and age a plastic fitting was bound to break.

Had my '13 250 CCSB for almost 4 years. Had 41k when I bought and now has almost 170k. Been my first diesel so don't have anything previous to compare to but have loved everything about this truck. Deleted at 99,500 and other then routine maintenance and service haven't had any other issues. Highly recommend to anyone!

Bought my truck brand new in May of 2013.. deleted sine 30k mi, I'm at 63k now.. Only thing that's "failed" is my mirrors and that's because my buddy forced them to close.. Doing front brake pads when I'm back home.

There is a thread floating around somewhere that's a few years old.

BUT...

187k on my '12, only issues have been one EGT sensor ($30), a DEF sender/heater/pump (service bulletin covered), Evaporator core($1000), and the primary radiator leaked a few years ago in the typical spot but it has since fixed itself. That and for some reason both batteries bite the dust in January of every third year (strange)...just did them again last month. Probably due to my parasitic loads when the truck is off (flashlight chargers, computers, etc).

My power folding mirrors hang up sometimes in cold weather but no more than a handful times per year. I've never touched the brakes, antifreeze, or tranny fluid. Not that I'm neglectful...my truck simply does not need maintenance in those areas.

Rides good, power is good, milage is decent. Emissions intact on my rig for its whole life.

Sold my 06 f-250 6.0l to a local gentlemen and i bought the 2016 from my local dealer. The previous owner (woman) owned it for 16 months and nevered towed with it, so i purchased with 47000 miles on it and it nows has 59500 on it. I like the power when towing and some of the features it has. So as of today i have had no problems or issues with this truck.

Bought my ‘14 F250 SBCC brand new off the lot. Dealer brought two in because I just had to have 2tone paint and I picked the black over the dark blue. I work all around the DMV area and I get a vehicle allowance rather than one of their trucks. I drive a minimum of 160 miles a day in northern va traffic. On weekends, I use it on the farm or I’m pulling a 12000 lb 3horse living quarters trailer to a show or a 10ton gvw trailer with hay or equipment. 4.5 years, just tripped 156,000. It’s been a good truck up to now. Love the power, bone stock. Still on my second set of tires, somehow. Couldn’t ask for a better ride. Can’t keep brakes on it though. It’s at the dealer right now for the 5th pair on the front. Replaced the DEF heater back in November and now the EGR cooler just threw a code. Dealer called me yesterday and said two tie rod ends are shot and a wheel bearing needs replacing. $4200 this go around and $1500 last November. Other than that, no complaints, and I really don’t have room to complain about that given the daily use.

Got my 12 in May of 15 with 96K on the clock. Was a salesmans truck that never seen a trailer. Had a new B&W 5th wheel hitch ball installed that never had been turned over. LOL.

Went on a diet (at the dealer) at 98K. Now at 106K it has front and rear Ranch Hands, Wheels & Tires, and Rudy's cold pipe (out of precaution) and a few other add ons.

@ 105K stock radiator needed replaced. Part of life. It serves it's life towing a 32' 10K travel trailer with ease. Love my truck.

Wouldn't trade it for a new one.

Ok, got a 2015 F250 new back in Nov 2014. Only have 30,000 on it....I know I know.. I have a beater I drive to work, so truck sits pretty until weekend. Anyway, no problems what so ever. Couldn't be happier. I deleted at 10,000 miles, full delete.

Deleting is the best thing I ever did, completely different vehicle after

I drive like grandma most of the time. I did it to be free of the constraints of those damn sensors. Your engine will last much longer and you're removing a pizza oven from under your transmission. Power and mpg gains are ancillary to me compared to what I just named.

The master diesel tech/shop foreman at my Ford dealership did my delete. Covers me with things...

A properly tuned diesel does not need the emissions crap that the EPA has deemed necessary. I think it's laughable that their solution is to burn more diesel to clean up after the diesel that's already been burned. Then they throw an ammonia solution in with so we get those chemicals floating around in the air too. Between the gains MPG gains, the less diesel actually burned and the fact that there is no other deadly chemicals being introduced to the atmosphere, I'm not sure that deleting is not actually better for the environment.
