Looking to find out first hand from any of you who have done the dpf and egr delete what you’re getting for fuel mileage. My truck is a 2013 with 33k original miles and bone stock. I’m getting about 15 mpg to and from work. Looking to try and increase that without going crazy on the tunes and mods. I hear mixed things about the deleted trucks so I’m just left sitting here wondering what to do.

Well it's like driving a brick. I can sit behind a big rig at 70+MPH watching the fuel pressure drop, then move out from behind the rig/or no rig in front...fuel pressure goes up. No speed changes, just driving along "pushing" the air. LOL

Most people are MUCH happier with less maintenance, more HP/TQ, with a small bump in MPGs.

The question is money. will the money you spend on the delete ever equeal to the money you spend on fuel. My 15 gets about 14/15 but I drive it like a car. I don't baby it at all. I had the DEF heater go out which everyone has or will have go bad. I fixed mine in the driveway. It's a easy fix. At this point it' hard to find the tuner and parts to do this. EPA is cracking down hard on diesel tuners. If you are planing on doing the work you will save some money but if you have it done it just makes it more expensive. To me it's not worth the cost.

See and I’m babying the **** out of mine and I’m getting 16 1/2 for a 32 mile round trip every day that’s up and down hills and twisty. So maybe I’m not to far off? I was even looking in to the emissions on tuning and thinking about trying the edge cts3 carb compliant tuner. It’s just 675 bucks of hoping for the best. I don’t want a huge tune and inherent risk of truck failure. I want reliable and efficient. I’m probably just asking too much.

Once you pull off a stock EGR throttle and EGR cooler you will see why people were deleting trucks. Not to mention Ford's initial issues with the DPF EGT sensor that would just shut down the truck on the roadside left many to run to the aftermarket for help.

In the end things got better with the newer AlumiDuty trucks albeit with their own problems as such for such changes over the model years. My son's stock 2020 is easily getting 18+ HWY as he drives like a mad man.

I average about 13.5 if I'm towing a light load (5000 pounds) and not driving over 78 mph. Mileage drops precipitously after 80 in my 2017 F350 SRW 4x4 CC with 3.55 axles. I average about 14.5 - 15 if I'm empty. My friend has a 2021 F250 with 3.31 gears and he averages about 20 - 22 under 78 mph. I don't know how easy it will be in the future to slide a deleted past EPA especially since more states are going to do more emissions inspections.

I bought my 2012 with 127K miles on it, was getting about 15.5 mpg. I did the complete delete 3 years ago, now with 167K miles. I have averaged about 19mpg. However when I am towing I get about 15. I notice also that if I switch the minimax to "stock" I get the best mileage. (around 19.5)

I have an '08 250, the delete was the best thing I ever did for that truck. When I acquired it the DPF & EGR were clogging and the truck was going into limp mode.
I was averaging about 11-13, now I'm
'averaging' 16.4, but realistically more so about 15.2. Unfortunately I do a lot of city driving to get to work. When I hit the highway about 60mph I really see a nice increase in mpg. Upwards of 17mpg.
I as well have been looking to increase mpg, but I have to remind myself that it's a heavy duty diesel, not a prius, and I can only do so much.

I have a 2013 f350 king ranch. I recently deleted and tuned my truck. Before the deletes 13.9 mpg was my reading in my truck. I did validate what the truck was averaging 2- 2 1/2 years ago the number was close enough for government work. Only a week after it reads 16.5- 16.8. Still showing the boys the change in power.

The vehicle I had immediately before my 2013 6.7L King Ranch was a 2008 6.4L Ford King Ranch. I deleted and tuned and installed the stainless exhaust, I saw in that truck a 9-12 mile improvement 19 city 21 hwy. I’m surprised that today I only get 16.8.
