I have a 09 F350 that won't start. Checking fuel pressure at the cooler I have between 6-8lbs. I cracked both sides of the fuel cooler and have fuel flowing. The frp shows 52psi but I know that's false as I cracked (and totally disconnected) the high pressure fuel line at the cylinder head and there is nothing. It's not even wet.
There are no metal shavings in the fuel filter, no rust in the bottom of the fuel filter housing.
I am suspecting the pump but I would think it should be putting out something even if it's a dribble from the high pressure side. It has nothing. So, should I at least see some fuel leakage with the line disconnected with the lift pump running and engine cranking? Being that it is bone dry makes me think that the hpfp is not getting any fuel at all. Any help is appreciated.
Edit to add: I am using a SnapOn Verus and noticed that the exhaust temp sensors are reading over 1400 degrees. Obviously that is not correct since it won't run. Is it possible the pcm is not allowing fuel from the high pressure regulator to the rails due to these readings?
