Please help!!!!! A month ago my 2009 6.4 crew cab with 161700 miles died on me in the parking lot an hour from home. I towed it to the shop where they installed a new high pressured fuel pump and brand new injectors. When I got the truck back it’s still not running right. Spits and spudders, loops sometimes doesn’t sound right. So I take it back in and they hook it up to a scanner which tells them I’m getting 28.9 kpa at and idle(which desired is 5500) so they tell me that hat my high pressure fuel rail sensor is bad so they change that. Truck still is reading the same pressure. So then they tell me that the previous owner must of New the pump was weak and tured the fuel pressure up with a tunner so I need to reflash my pcm. We reflashed my pcm and still reading the same and isn’t running right I don’t know very much about these trucks and I’m lost any help would be greatly appreciated

Second that.
I have a fuel rail pressure sensor that started giving me issues in the last couple thousand miles (P 0194 code) - and I can attest to it running poorly when it's acting up.

But any shop that says this, with a straight face... "the previous owner must of known the pump was weak and turned the fuel pressure up with a tuner, so I need to reflash my pcm."

Dunno that I could take them seriously after that.

I changed that sensor and we know that the pump was bad because when they took it off and tore it apart it was full off nothing but metal shavings which is why we had to change the injectors as well. I just don’t understand why the kpa is so high at idle trucks running very rough

I have a 2010 power stroke with 6.4. The fuel gauge gives false readings most of the time. It could have a half of a tank but it reads 10 miles until empty. It has been doing that for a while. I want to know what that could be but I have another problem and I am not sure if it is a related problem. It hesitates sometimes when I accelerate, other times I will be driving down the road and it acts like it is running out of gas. Then all of the sudden it starts running fine again.
