6,000 HRS too many for a 6.7??

I personally would not buy a truck with 53% idle hours.
It may be fine, but at a minimum you’re likely to need some emissions work in the not distant future. (EGR/ DPF replacements) So be sure to factor that into the purchase price.
 
An engine hour is equivalent to 25 miles driven. So take that into account regarding maintenance.
25% is what I consider the beginning of “high”.
Emissions are the main concern with idle time, but if you’re blowing it out the rest of the time it should be OK.
Just watch the intake/ EGR/ DPF for plugging.
