I have an 04 250 with an 03 6.0 in it and the passenger side rocker box is stripped out as well as a failed hpop. I know the early model stuff is crap and very unreliable and have heard that the later model parts are better. So my questiin is can i put rocker boxes,rails,branch tubes, and hpop of of a later model engine on mine and if so what modifications might be needed? The engine will be coming out of the truck soon for a freshen up and if i can upgrade it i will while im at it.

The early model stuff isn’t crap but w/e floats your boat. You can do the 05+ stuff but you just have to make sure you get the earlier 05 rocker boxes, the dowel pins in the later years were bigger where the box goes into the head.

@Corey@CNCFAB 3 to be precise. I have yet to see an 03 or 04 that needed the hpop replaced more than once. One and done.
