Hi all,

I am interested in installing a belt driven air compressor on my 05 6.0.

I have been looking into buying a used Bendix 550 (yes, I know it's overkill) off an International VT365. Theoretically it should mount up with the provided bracket.

The compressor needs engine oil and coolant to work. I was wondering where I would go to tap into an engine oil supply, and where to drain it into. Same goes for the coolant supply.

Compressor will be used for a train horn and air suspension. Don't really want an electric one mainly because of the electrical load, and they don't flow as much as an engine driven one.

Thanks.

I gotta tear into the engine to do egr and oil cooler soon-ish so I dont think it would be too much of a hassle to stick this in.

Any ideas where to tap into for oil supply?

to Z's point, how much oil do you need?
You could just run a by pass filter set up and tap it from there.
But if you need that oil to be under pressure thats a different convo.

What are you powering off the compressor?
