I have a 2004 f250 6.0 4x4 and the reverse planetary in the trans is messing up in it putting metal shavings throughout the trans. I have found a 5r110w transmission that is out of a 2009 e450 that was a reman from ford and installed in that vehicle in 2013. My question is would I be able to install that 5r110w transmission in place of my 5r110 with no problems?

If the van was a 6.0 you won't have to do anything but swap it....even if it was 2wd your transfer case would bolt right on it.
I know for fact a 5r110w out of a truck will work in place of a 5r110 (if you swap to a 6.4 flex plate or use a 6.0 converter), assuming there isn't something van specific.
I've done this swap in my truck (truck to truck)
If you have a specific question I didn't cover just ask.

Yep, what they said....6.0 to 6.0 should be a direct swap. ..again I'm no van expert, there may be some weird van specific thing I don't know about though.

No idea....if the 6.0 carried over a few years it would make sense the 5r110 did too.

Agreed the torque converter to flywheel bolt pattern is 6 bolts for the 6.0 and 8 for the 6.4

so you need to match the bolts but either setup will fit either motor

but the stall on the 6.0 converter is what you really want

and make sure you leave the remote filter in place or eliminate the whole filter manifold
