Greetings everyone, Wimpy here with a questions for the brain trust...
BACKGROUND:
I have a 2015 F350 with 228K miles, used for some serious towing but appears to have been professionally maintained (no repair history either). #4 fuel injector just went TANGO-UNIFORM out of the blue (confirmed by Stelarship). No idea what (if any) additives were used, but I have ran Archoil 6200 since I got it 3k miles ago.
The question I would like to pose is... does it make sense for this year/ these miles to go ahead and just replace all of the injectors at this point to ensure long term reliability, or play whack-a-mole as they come up?
I am unsure what the ramifications are running this motor with a dead hole for xx miles, for example if I'm towing in BFE and another injector goes T/U, do I need to immediately shut down or limp 50 miles into the next town, or 300 to get home.... and so on.
Furthermore, I do not have any reliability or performance data to draw on that could help predict when the other 7 injectors may start failing, since I have literally seen everything from 100K to over 900k miles between failure.
My search for a similar topic did not find anything conclusive, but I am a noob on this forum so please forgive me if this is a repeat question.
