Any reasoning? I’m 30 but I drive like I’m 80. Really just looking for better fuel mileage. I have an 06 6.6 Lbz 4 door short bed that gets 18 in town 24 on the highway (efi live, cold air intake 4” strait pipe) driving like ms daisys in the back helps… trying to get better than 13 in the ford

2013 F350 long bed here bought it stock and never saw anything better than 13mpg. Deleted now and still averaging 13mpg. I can get 15 on the interstate with the cruise set at 75 but that's as good as I've ever seen. I do have 37" tires on the factory 20" wheels so I'm sure that's not helping my case at all ether. Doesn't matter if I am hooked up to my 12K 5th wheel loaded down with gear mileage still remains between 12-15 mpg depending on driving conditions. I can get a little over 450 miles out of the 37.5 gallon tank without driving it down to complete empty and leaving a few gallons in there to make sure I don't starve or send air and crap to the injection pump. Sure miss the mileage my 03 5.9 Cummins got but the interior and power difference from the 6.7 Powerstroke make up for that.

If you are looking for mileage get a Honda. Even if tuning wasn't a pain to access the amount of money you spent on "trying to get better MPGs" would most likely never pencil out anyways.

I have a deleted 08, I deleted as the EGR and DPF were going out on me. So in my case I would definitely recommend, but as the ol saying goes if it's not broke don't fix it.

As far as mpg goes, meh. I noticed a few mpgs extra but nothing that WOWed me. I was hoping to get more from a tank, but that's not why I got a diesel. Roughly 15 city 20ish highway. I too drive like an 89 year old just to get that.

I definitely understand the want for better mpgs though, when I drop $50-$70 to fill my tank I get a little woozy. But again, not why I have a diesel.

I will say for the delete that it made the truck much more powerful and reliable. Once big government gets involved in things they usually ruin it.
