Bone stock 2012 F250, build date is Sept. 2012. Threw a P207F code and a 50 miles until derating to 50mph max warning in the message center. Seems like this code has different meanings for different years from what I've found online so I'm not sure which one is 100% correct for mine.

From what I've seen searching around the NOx sensor is a common culprit and the least expensive thing to change out. Does anyone know if the sensor can be tested with a multi meter, and what the readings should be?

also I've tried searching around for a factory service manual for this truck but can't seem to find one. Anyone have a free download link or anything? I already have the coffee table book but besides showing me where the sensor is it's not much use.

Before anyone says it I won't be deleting the DPF system thanks to California being California

your DEF might have something in the tank besides DEF. Maybe water was added? Or someone put diluted DEF in the tank? Or maybe even diesel in the DEF tank? Try pumping the tank out and see what the DEF looks like.

You can get a pump at Harbor Freight or Wal Mart.

You can download the OBDII for your year truck here from Ford...

So P207F is Reductant (DEF) Quality Perfomance. So in my thinking after reading the OBDII section is it's either a bad NOx sensor (hopefully), a bad NOx sensor module or a bad SCR. Which brings me back to my need for a service manual or knowledge of how to, if even possible, test the sensor and module with just a multi meter or other simple tools. Trying to avoid the stealership at all costs

I really don't think it is contaminated DEF, only I drive the truck and put fuel/DEF in it, and I definitely didn't put fuel or just water in the DEF tank. I always fill it up with Peak blue DEF from a sealed container as that is what is available readily around here.

well after testing with the info on the pages posted above I'm pretty sure it's the NOx sensor, but I'd rather not give Ford almost $400 for a new one. Anyone out there have one lying around after deleting your truck? I'd rather throw a good used one in for the time being and just get rid of this truck
