My fuel tank sending unit is on it's way out- it is not accurate and sometimes will swing from 1/2 tank to full- Looking to get it replaced but the Motorcraft part is super expensive- I will go that route if necessary, but if there is another maker of this part that that is high quality, cheaper and just as good, I may consider another brand- I bought this truck new in 02 and have babied it....want to keep things working right. Appreciate the feedback.

Unfortunately motorcraft is the way to go with Powerstrokes. Many aftermarket brands have failed folks sooner than later. some squeak by but any amount of googeling will show many had to do the work again. I would encourage you to check out the vendor section for some of the best pricing. I ordered tons of parts from ford vendors here and saved $$$.
I agree with Justin, don't cheap out. Some things are worth spending the extra money on. I have had good luck with Autonation. Maybe we can get Mike to chime in. @fordsvtparts
