Hey everyone. New superduty owner & 1st post..

Last week my all my gauges stopped working along with the lcd screen on the dash. My dash lights work along with the windows, radio & temperature controls. My programmer pulls code U0l55 - lost communication with instrument cluster panel control module.

All fuses are good. If I pull the instrument cluster panel fuse the dash lights go out so I assume the cluster is getting power. Also, after removing the key, the dash lights wont turn off. So, currently the fuse is pulled so I don't kill the batteries.

A little back story, my truck sat for almost 2 months & now I need to start driving it as the weather is changing in the PNW. When I 1st started the truck I went outside to warm it up. Didn't even get in the truck, just put the key in, waited, turned it on & walked away. Thought the batteries could be low from sitting but it fired right up. Once I got in, I didn't even realize the gauges weren't working as the truck is still new to me & the dash lights were on. Last time I drove the truck everything worked perfect.

Truck has full power & starts perfect. Tomorrow I will check the batteries & clean terminals if needed. I know there's a connector on the parking brake that things go crazy if that disconnects but from doing a bit of research, the truck should not start so I assumed that's not the cause. I will check that just to be safe.

Any info would be greatly appreciated. I bought the truck from a family member so I know nothing crazy has been done to cause this.

Yes it's still doing it. I haven't been driving the truck & I'm going insane trying to track it down. Just having has the time so the truck has been sitting, batteries are currently dead, they won't charge after all this, I assume it's created some electrical draw. Replacing the batteries tomorrow.

I've contacted circuit board medics & they believe their repair would not fix my issue.

This weekend I'll pull the cluster & check all the connections & look for shorts in the harness somehow. Could 1 bad battery cause low voltage to something even though the batteries are ran in parallel?

After checking out the cluster if I can't get it working I might just take it to a shop to have them look it out. I'm mechanically inclined but the electrical stuff is mind boggling.
