lots of good tuners out there, I have had good luck with Wildman tunes from Totaldieselperformance.com. I would recommend buying one with custom tunes, most have free reburns so if you make changes you can update your chip to match. little more money to start but it will save you money in the long run if you plan on any upgrades.

Im a long time cummins guy so custom tuned chips are new to me but the $200 canned tunes really woke my truck up. Someone explained it to me that custom tunes are great if you modify your truck much but with a stock truck not necessary. Thats for a manual tranny though, someone else will have to chime in on what the custom tunes do for an auto.

Ok... after researching I figured it out. The chips cant be burned yourself. There are shops out there with the ability to burn chips. Purchase from them.

I plan on doing the usual mods (intake, compressor wheel, exhaust, chip) for power along with some suspension stuff. This vehicle is my daily driver, part time off road fun vehicle and seldom tow vehicle. I don't want something that will hurt my aging tranny.
