Want to reroute exhaust, what brand is this?

Can anyone place the brand on this exhaust? Bought from a buddy and he doesn;t remember. I want to get an elbow to get the exhaust to exit more to the side instead of to the rear.

2001 F250, 4 inch with tiny muffler. The muffler can be placed either direction, he said it had louvers one way. The tip is also really long, and runs more straight back than out to the side.

Thanks!

you could take the piece off and have it bent.

or you might be able to buy just the tailpipe piece.

if you dont want a muffler you can find a piece of 4 inch pipe to replace ti as well.

any true exhaust shop should have a mandrel that can do up to 5' probably be cheaper and less of a headache to leave it to a exhaust shop :thumb:

ebay has a 4 inch tailpipe piece for 70 bucks!
diamond eye brand.
it has more of a side exit like you were looking for.
cant beat that!

i just typed in "4 inch tailpipe 7.3"

Yep im a dumbass?? Probably not I know of 4 exhaust shops within 10 miles of my house that CAN mandrel bend up to 5" pipe and of you would like their contact info I would be more than happy to share.

Id go the Ebay route, probably your best bet. Unless you can find a shop with a mandrel bender but id almost bet they charge you $50 at least. Catch someone on a good day and it may only cost $5.

Man those are some spendy machines! Kinda curious where my buddy got his, it can do up to 5" but he only has dies up to 4" so works for me. We build DOM cages all day long on it but its great for exhaust also!

My wifes Flo-pro is pretty nice, quite too...

You could leave it on there and add an Aeroturbine muffler for less then $200... Add it infront of the existing muffler...

Google the 4040xl, its the one with the resonator.

Funny thing is the whistle and "blat" is louder on my stock OBS exhaust (cat removed) than my 2001 with this 4 inch MBRP exhaust. There seems to be more rumble at idle, but I can hear my intake whistle over the exhaust whistle. Just crazy drone. I love the sound of my OBS exhaust.

Does the split shot injectors make the exhaust quieter also?

Split shot does most of the work of making it quieter... Once you throw a set of injectors in it, it changes... You can look at some of my videos on Youtube for exhaust tone and overall sound with singles in it.

I found that my exhaust got louder and better sounding when I put the 1.15 exhaust housing on.
Could be in my head though

Noticed the same thing with a 1.15 housing on the 38R...

Its totally your money... But give the Aeroturbine a try...

The clips on Youtube show that to be a real quiet muffler.

Maybe a shortie?

I'll have to cut the muffler that's there out. I tried to get it off this afternoon to flip it around. Plus the stainless that's there is almost impossible to clamp down. It's loose at the downpipe connection, and they tack weld the clamp on. POS system.

Maybe I'll cut it out and add a muffler delete, see if the drone goes away.
