Hello I'm new to the site. I just purchased a 1997 F-250HD. It's a 2wd 5-speed and the only option it has besides the PSD is the 4.10 limited slip. Runs great only smokes on startup when it's really cold out. 267k It'll be for hauling cars and scrap when I find a trailer. It's my first diesel and like everybody else I have a few questions for the experts here. First the clutch never fully disengages. As soon as you release it 1/32" from the firewall you are in motion. This causes the trans to drive like the syncronizers are out. After a little reading here I checked the cluth pedal bushing. It definetly has some slack, but it doesent seem that bad. I'll replace it this weekend anyway. Anybody ran into this? Also there is a plug-in at the front of the truck someone has mounted to the frame. Its in one of the pictures below. It runs back behind the trans where it splices into some wiring in the frame channel. Signal wiring for being flat towed behind a motorhome maybe? Anyway I really enjoy the site and the PSD! Oh almost forgot in the engine bay pic am I missing anything important?
