Nitrous and gearing?

I'm gonna be racing 2-3 trucks at the track soon. One I've already beaten in Mexico. One I know I'll beat since they typically run mid to high 14's. But the other has run a very best of 13.7, with some low 14's.....
So, I'm concentrating on the last one. Studs won't happen anytime soon, so I'm wondering if you think it's a good idea to have a 50 shot readily available should I see him pull on me half way down the track? Do you think spraying this one time would hurt my non-studded motor?
I run my xtreme tune daily, and run it hard at times. Still going strong.:thumb:
Will I gain much spraying without modifying the fuel system? Is there still fuel available for the mix?
I already have the kit, btw. ;)

What about gearing? Is there anything that could help me slightly at the track, yet not affect my mpg's as a daily?

What is the hp to jet size ratio? How much power difference between the .030 and .086?

I have a WOT switch under the peddle. Then an arming switch on the dash. It's easy to flip the arming switch just after launch.

The size jet (or no jet) depends on if you have a tune, or if you have studs. This is NOT recommended if you're unstudded. I'm just a dumbass that wants to win a race. lol But if I do need to use it, it'll be once or twice, and I'll pray that it doesn't lift the heads. The small jet I'll use will just give me about 40hp and hopefully 2-3/10ths in the 1/4.
