Hey guys ive been thinking for a few months about converting my 250 to a dually. Ive got two questions though:

1) Are the front axles the same length just with the spacers added to clear the front dually wheels

2) I have been told the 350s rear axle is shorter than the 250s so what am I going to run into here? Im thinking spacers to accommodate the rear wheels.

Also Im running 315 75 16 BFG A/Ts right now. Would I have to get rear spacers so the tires wouldnt rub?

My truck used to haul fertilizer and the bed is eat away so I am going to have to replace it. So that got me thinking into converting it into a dually.

I also thought I would check out the junkyards for a 350 rear axle and whatever else is needed up front.

no clue sam here's a :bump: for ya

soundsl ike your gonna end up with alot of spacers though...pm Mike and see where he got his from. he is running spacers up front to clear the double shock setup, and has had them for 50k miles and no problems.

remember the ones he had before, where almost all the studs broke off on his way to sss 08? yea, dont get those!

haha

Yea ive talked with the same guy I believe he got his new ones from Fred Goeske or something like that. If theres tons of spacers Im not gonna mess with it to much stuff can break

If you had a doner truck would be nice it would have everything you need. I belive if you got the dual adapter's for the front and a dana 80 for the rear( whole housing) it should work. But might see if anyone else on here knows before doing it.

Honestly, I would just leave the front end alone and swap in a rear end from dually. I know the tires wouldn't interchange but it would make this much easier. You replacing the bed with a dually bed or with a flat bed?
